The Innovasium Minor Bantam A Stars battled Oakville in game 5 last night.  The Stars trailed by 2 at the end of the first period and then rallied to bring the score to 3-2 with 2 minutes to go in the third. The extra attacker on the ice wasn't enough to get through Oakville's defenses. Oakville managed to score on the empty net twice.  Final score 5-2.  Well done Stars.  Fantastic playoff run this year!

The Stouffville/Sunderland IDA Midget A Stars won the Lakeshore Championships, defeating Ajax 4-3 in the final game.  Way to go STARS!

The James Campbell Insurance Minor Atom Stars team won the Lakeshore Championship series against Ajax in an exciting Game 5 on Tuesday night in Uxbridge.  The Stars won the game 6-4.

The game was amazing. The score really doesn't tell the story.

Uxbridge was down 1, then tied. End of 1st tied game. Ajax went up again, then Uxbridge tied. Then Uxbridge went up a goal. End of 2nd, 3 to 2 Uxbridge. Half way through the second Ajax scored to tie the game again. 2 1/2 minutes later Uxbridge took the lead again. Under 4 minutes remaining Uxbridge scored, to make it a 5 3 game. With the Ajax goalie pulled the Uxbridge Stars scored an empty net goal to make it 6-3. But Ajax was not going to give up, they came back to score with 11 seconds remaining, but it just wasn't enough.

Way to go Stars!!!

The Major PW AE players and families rallied to support our troops in Afghanistan by purchasing a “Support our Troops Jersey”. Each player, parent and sibling on the team personalized their own message on the jersey to support one of the players cousin’s currently serving overseas. The jersey and group photo will be shipped to the solider so that he can be reminded of the love and support he has from home.

Congrats to the Bantam AE team who went undefeated in the St. Catherine’s Warriors Tournament. The team won the championship game in overtime to claim the championship title.
